Oversized Hoodie Manufacturer for Heavyweight Streetwear Drops
Rifago Industries is an oversized hoodie manufacturer for streetwear labels and designers who want a boxy, drop-shoulder fit that’s uniquely theirs. An oversized hoodie is its own pattern, not a regular hoodie in a bigger size, so our pattern makers draft it from your tech pack. We cut heavyweight French terry up to 470 GSM, then sew, finish, and pack every piece on our floor. The minimum order is 30 pieces per style.

Do you have a reference hoodie or a tech pack ready? Send it over, and our pattern team gets back to you within 1 business day with fit notes, fabric suggestions, and a sample quote.
What Separates a True Oversized Fit From Sizing Up
Buying a regular hoodie two sizes up stretches every measurement at once. The sleeves get too long, the hood swallows the face, and the hem hangs past the hips. A real oversized pattern changes the proportions on purpose. An oversized hoodie manufacturer widens the body and drops the shoulder while keeping the sleeve, hood, and hem in balance.

Drop Shoulder Seams and Body Width
The shoulder seam on our Custom oversized hoodies sits 6–10 cm below the natural shoulder line. We set chest width and armhole depth together with that drop. Without a deeper armhole, a wider chest balloons at the sides. The body should hang straight.
You choose the look: a relaxed fit with a gentle drop, or a boxy shape with a wide, square body. Before the first sample, we confirm the target chest-to-length ratio in writing. That is the difference between an oversized hoodie manufacturer and a factory that sizes up. Your fit stays the same on every repeat order.
Balancing Sleeve and Body Length
A dropped shoulder moves the sleeve seam down the arm, so the visible sleeve gets shorter. An oversized hoodie manufacturer has to recut the sleeve length to suit. Some brands want a stacked cuff that bunches at the wrist. Others want a clean cuff that ends at the hand. Each is drafted differently.
Body length sets the hoodie’s attitude. A boxy, cropped body ends at the waistband; a hip-length body suits everyday wear; and a longline body falls below the hip. Side slits are optional on longline bodies.
Hood Shape, Rib Height and Pocket Placement
A wider neckline needs a bigger hood, or the hood looks pinched on the body. We size the double-lined hood to the oversized neck, so it sits full when worn down. You can add a drawcord with metal eyelets. A clean hood with no cord works too.
Rib cuffs and the hem band scale with the body, usually 5–8 cm high on an oversized fit. Narrow ribs look thin on a wide hoodie. On cropped bodies, the kangaroo pocket moves up to stay on the front panel rather than fold into the hem.

Heavyweight Fabrics We Cut for Custom Oversized Hoodies
Weight decides how an oversized hoodie hangs. Light fabric collapses on a wide body, while heavy terry keeps the boxy shape you designed. As a heavyweight hoodie manufacturer, we stock French terry, loopback terry, and brushed fleece from 320 to 470 GSM for Custom oversized hoodies. The table shows what each fabric does.
French terry
330–380
Smooth face, soft loops inside
Year-round drops and layering
Heavy French terry
420–470
Dense, structured, firm drape
Boxy fits and winter drops
Loopback terry
400–470
Open loops, dry vintage hand
Washed and garment-dyed styles
Brushed fleece
320–400
Warm, fluffy inside
Cold-season comfort lines
Cotton-poly fleece
320–380
Soft, low shrinkage
Print-heavy and team styles
French Terry or Brushed Fleece for Your Drop
Loopback French terry has a smooth face and small loops on the inside. It gives a structured drape that keeps an oversized body square. It also handles washes and dyes well. The ring-spun cotton face also takes screen printing cleanly, which matters on big back graphics.
Brushed fleece is the same knit with the inner loops brushed into a soft pile. It feels warmer. On a wide cut, though, it carries a little less structure. We can sample both in one pattern so that you can compare them side by side.
Pre-Shrinking and Shrinkage Control on Heavy Terry
Cotton terry shrinks when it meets hot water. On an oversized fit, a 5% shrink in length and width can turn a drop shoulder into a regular fit after the first wash. Your customer then owns a different hoodie from the one in your photos.
To prevent that, our team pre-shrinks or tumble-tests every fabric lot before cutting. We measure the result and build the shrinkage allowance into the pattern. A heavyweight hoodie manufacturer that skips this step leaves you with the risk.
Cut and Sew Construction Inside Every Oversized Hoodie
Every hoodie we make starts as a roll of fabric, never as a blank with a print on top. As an oversized hoodie manufacturer with our own cutting room and sewing lines, we control every step, from pattern to final press. Our cut-and-sew apparel page shows the same workflow for tees, tracksuits, and jackets.

Pattern Making and Oversized Size Grading
Pattern making is where an oversized hoodie manufacturer earns its name. Our pattern maker drafts the body, sleeve, hood, and pocket pieces from your tech pack or reference hoodie. We flag anything likely to shift after washing or printing before cutting.
Oversized grading is not a flat 2 cm per size. The drop shoulder and the boxy ratio must stay the same from XS to XXL. Otherwise, the small looks regular and the XXL looks like a tent. We grade each point on its own curve and sign off the chart together with your sample.
Cutting, Panel Matching and Shade Bundling
An oversized hoodie manufacturer needs more fabric per garment than a regular-fit factory. Our cutting team plans each lay to reduce waste without crowding the wide panels.
All panels for one hoodie come from the same fabric lot and the same lay layer. We number and bundle them together before they reach the sewing line. That protects you from receiving a hoodie with a sleeve one shade lighter than the body.
Overlock, Coverstitch and Double-Needle Finishing
A 4-thread overlock joins the body and sleeve seams and stretches with the knit. Hems and cuffs use a coverstitch, which looks clean on the outside and stays flat on the inside. Shoulders and armholes get double-needle topstitching. A dropped shoulder carries the weight of a heavy sleeve.
We tape the back neck to cover the seam and prevent stretching. Inline checkers measure key points on every bundle against your chart within ±1–1.5 cm. We correct any piece outside that band on the line, not after packing.
Garment Dyes, Washes and Vintage Finishes
We dye garments after sewing. The color settles into the seams, giving a lived-in look from day one. We offer garment dye, pigment dye, acid wash, enzyme wash, and sun-faded finishes.
Washed finishes add shrinkage and small, piece-to-piece color shifts. An oversized hoodie manufacturer should explain that before bulk, not after delivery. We run a wash test on your fabric and a lab dip against your Pantone reference first. You approve the washed sample. Its shrinkage figures go straight into the pattern.
Screen Printing, Puff Print and Embroidery on Heavy Terry
Decoration on an oversized body covers more fabric than on a regular fit, so an oversized hoodie manufacturer has to plan placement and method together. We run every method in our building under one supervisor. The table compares the options we offer on heavyweight terry.
Screen printing
Flat, bright ink
Large back and chest graphics

Sizing Artwork for Wider Oversized Panels
A back print that looks right on a regular hoodie can look small on an oversized body. An experienced oversized hoodie manufacturer scales back graphics to the wider panel, so the artwork fills the space your design intends.
Chest prints need care too. The dropped shoulder moves the seam lower, so the usual chest height sits too close to it. Each size gets its own print position on a placement sheet measured from fixed seams.
Embroidery on 400+ GSM Fabric
Thick terry pushes back against the needle, and loose hooping lets the fabric pucker around the design. Our embroidery team uses a firm cut-away backing and hoops each panel before sewing the body.
We set stitch density to the fabric weight, so the logo sits flat without cutting the loops. Before we start bulk stitching, we run a test logo on a scrap of your fabric and send you a photo.

Private Label Details for Your Oversized Hoodie Line
Private label means your brand appears on every label, tag, and bag. Ours appears nowhere. Working with an oversized hoodie manufacturer that handles branding in-house saves you a second supplier for labels and packing. We source and attach each element during production, through the same private label clothing service we run for every product.
Woven Neck Labels, Main Labels and Size Tags
You can weave or print your main label at the back neck, or print it directly onto the fabric for a tagless feel. Woven damask or satin labels give the finish buyers expect from a luxury hoodie manufacturer. A small hem flag label on the side seam adds a branded detail that shows when the hoodie is worn.
We place care and size labels on the left side seam, including fiber content and wash instructions. We follow your size codes, so XS to XXL match the charts on your website.
Hang Tags, Polybags and Folding for Retail
Hang tags carry your logo, product name, price, and barcode, and we attach them with your chosen fastener.
We fold each hoodie to your spec, with the hood flat and the graphic facing up if you want it shown. We polybag every piece with a size sticker. We pack cartons by size and colorway. That gives you stock that goes straight onto shelves or into e-commerce photos.
Not sure which weight suits your design? Ask for a sample in your chosen fabric, or request a swatch pack of our terry and fleece weights before you commit.
Low MOQ Oversized Hoodie Runs From 30 Pieces
Our minimum for oversized hoodies is 30 pieces per style or design. That lets a new label release a drop without funding hundreds of units, while a typical heavyweight hoodie supplier asks for 100 to 300 pieces before cutting. The same floor applies to every product in our low-MOQ clothing range.
How 30 Pieces Split Across Sizes and Colorways
The 30-piece floor counts per style, not per size. You can spread it across a full size run, weighted toward the sizes your customers buy most. A common split for a first drop is 4 XS, 7 S, 8 M, 7 L, and 4 XL.
You can also split the 30 pieces across two colorways on the same fabric base, for example, 15 black and 15 washed grey. Each colorway receives its own lab dip. That lets you test two colors without doubling your order.
From First Drop to Bulk Reorders
Once the first order ships, we keep your graded pattern, approved sample, and trim list on file. When the drop sells through, we cut your reorder from that baseline. Fabric, wash, and fit stay the same.
Brands use this to grow a line step by step: add a new color, extend the size range, or move to a heavier fabric. An oversized hoodie supplier that keeps your files on record saves you weeks of redevelopment. Unit cost falls as the order grows.
Sampling, Timelines and Quality Checks
You get every date in writing before production starts. An oversized hoodie manufacturer that publishes its timelines lets you plan a launch around real numbers. Ours are fixed: sample production takes 10–12 business days, and bulk production takes 14–16 business days.

Sample Production in 10–12 Business Days
A reliable oversized hoodie manufacturer makes your sample in the real fabric, with the real wash and decoration, on the same lines as your bulk order. Ours arrives with a measurement sheet that lists every point on your chart.
You check the fit, the drop, and the hand feel, then send us any changes. We adjust the pattern and confirm the final spec in writing. Once you approve it, that sample becomes the standard we use to check your bulk order.
Bulk Production in 14–16 Business Days
The bulk clock starts after you approve the sample and we book the fabric. We cut, sew, decorate, and finish on our floor, so your order never waits in a queue at an outside workshop.
You receive progress updates as your order moves from cutting to sewing to packing. If anything could affect the ship date, our production team tells you early and shares the fix.
AQL 2.5 Inspection and Measurement Sign-Off
Inline checkers inspect each bundle during sewing. When the order is finished, our QC team runs a final inspection under AQL 2.5, the sampling level set out in ISO 2859-1. They measure chest, length, sleeve, and drop against your chart within ±1–1.5 cm.
Inspectors also check seams, print and logo position, labels, and shade across the order. You receive the inspection report and measurement figures before shipping. We fix or remake pieces outside tolerance before packing, so faulty hoodies stay with us.
Oversized Hoodie Manufacturer FAQ
Price depends on fabric weight, wash, decoration, and quantity. A mid-weight terry hoodie with one print costs less than a heavy garment-dyed piece with a stitched logo. Share the spec and quantity you have in mind, and our team will price it per unit.
Start with one style in one or two colors. Share a sketch, tech pack, or reference hoodie, and we’ll turn it into a sample. After approval, a first run of 30 pieces shows how the style sells before you scale.
You can order from 30 pieces per style or design. That quantity can cover a full size run and two colorways on one fabric base. Repeat orders use the sample you approved, which your oversized hoodie supplier keeps on file.
Most brands ask their oversized hoodie manufacturer for 380-470 GSM terry. Heavier terry keeps the boxy shape and drapes well. Lighter terry suits spring drops and layering pieces.
Yes. Our pattern maker measures the hoodie you send, drafts a new pattern from those numbers, and then adjusts it to your notes. For regular-fit pullover hoodie and zip-up hoodie styles, visit our Custom hoodie manufacturers page.
Your sample is ready 10–12 business days after the tech pack is confirmed. Bulk then runs for 14–16 business days from sample approval. We agree on both dates in writing before you pay.
Cotton terry can shrink, so we pre-shrink or tumble-test every fabric lot. We build the shrinkage allowance into your pattern before cutting. An oversized hoodie manufacturer should test this up front, and we share the figures with you.
